How We Review

We’re a research site, not a paid testing lab — and we think that’s a strength, not a weakness, as long as we’re honest about it. This page explains exactly how our guides are built, what we can tell you, and what we can’t.

What we actually do

For every guide we:

1. Pull the vendor’s live pricing and feature data — read directly from the tool’s own pricing page on the date shown at the top of the article.
2. Compare tools on the same criteria so pricing tiers and limits can be judged fairly side by side.
3. Summarize what verified users report — recurring themes across published reviews (G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, Reddit), not a single cherry-picked quote.
4. Score each option on a transparent, weighted system, and show the working.

Everything is dated, and everything is sourced.

What we can — and can’t — tell you

We can verify, from research: pricing, feature lists, usage limits, and the vendor’s own published claims. These are documented facts, and we check them against the source.

We can’t tell you how a tool feels in your specific daily workflow over months of use — because no one here has used every tool as their primary daily driver. Where hands-on, long-term fit matters most to you, use the tool’s free trial before committing to a paid plan.

You’ll never read the words “I’ve used this every day for months” on this site unless it’s true and disclosed. We’d rather under-claim than overstate.

How this site makes money

Some links on our guides are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That’s it — vendors don’t pay us for placement or for a good ranking, and a tool can’t buy its way up our scoring.
